Dear Dillard Academy Parents and Students:
I would like to welcome you to the 2021-2022 school year.
It is an honor and pleasure to serve as your Principal. You are such amazing students and you radiate an abundance of energy, happiness, tenacity and perseverance. You had to face unexpected obstacles and a totally different method of instruction last year and you embraced this new normal with determination.
Last year the transition from in person instruction to remote learning was sudden and challenging and yet you exhibited such a desire to learn and I cannot thank you enough for all your hard work during this difficult period.
This experience has taught me that you are resilient and what you can do in an adverse situation. I am so proud of all of you. It has not been easy, and I am grateful for your enthusiasm, spirit and true grit.
As the new school year begins, we are still operating under COVID-19 protocols. Students are still required to wear a mask on the bus and in the classroom. Some of the precautions we will follow at Dillard Academy Charter School include but not limited to the following:
Our school day is 8:00 AM-3:15 PM. The school day has been extended to meet the academic needs of our students which was interrupted last year because of the pandemic.
As always, I look forward to working with you and your child to provide a high-quality education. Please feel free to contact me. You can email me at cbattle@dillardacademy.org or by phone at (919) 581-0128 or (919) 22-1741.
Sincerely,
Carole Battle
