Mr. Nic Braxton Physical Education
nbraxton@dillardacademy.org
I graduated in May 2018 with a BS in Physical Education from East Carolina University. Go Pirates! My wife and I got married this past summer and are currently living in Greenville, where she works as a pediatric nurse. I grew up in Fuquay-Varina, as one of eight children.
I've always wanted to be a PE teacher at a K-8 school, so I am so excited to be starting the year here at Dillard Academy! I think it's important to teach the skills of sports and physical activities at a young age, so children can find sports/activities they enjoy and lead healthy lifestyles when they grow up. I'm looking forward to getting to know my students, and I hope to help them find ways they can be healthy and physically active.

I am Ms. Quinetta Moore; I have an adult daughter and son with five grandchildren. My daughter, Nina and her daughter Zareonna Pride resides with me and Zareonna attends Dillard Academy Charter School as a upcoming 2nd grader.
I have worked in several educational environments beginning in 1987 supporting elementary programs in Wayne County at School Street as a volunteer for one year, Carver Heights Elementary as a teacher assistant, North Drive Elementary as the school’s secretary (sub) and assistant to the school’s Librarian. I have work with 3-4 year olds in several child care centers.
I joined the Dillard Academy Charter School’s family in 2004. I have supported the growth of this wonderful school to date by; working as a teacher’s assistant in kindergartens’ thru fourth grades. I have also supported the auxiliary services serving as transportation monitor, van driver, and lunch services. I supported the school’s extracurricular programs such as cheerleading coach, “T” baseball, pee-wee basketball coach, our healthy living program (school gardening), and the CASTLES 21ST CCLC as a after school and summer program assistant. Prior to the hiring of a Physical Education Instructor I also served as the Physical Education Insturctor. In addition to my primary duties of classroom teacher assistant, I also served as the school’s special classes Art Instructor for all grade levels.
I am a devoted person to the success of Dillard Academy Charter School family. I continue to work toward self improvement and furthering my professional education by advancing my academic growth by being currently enrolled in North Carolina Wesleyan College majoring in elementary education.
I have certifications in Effective Teacher Training and Early Childhood Credentials I, II, and others that may be found in my official school records. My wish is to continue to serve this wonderful school and have a profound impact on the continued growth of our future leaders. Just to show how devoted I am to the mission of Dillard Academy Charter School I have had perfect attendance every year sense 2004!
