Dillard Academy featured in HBO documentary!

Dillard Academy's emphasis on health, wellness and education of the whole child can be seen in this new documentary.  The HBO short film follows the story of one of our high school student volunteers and her quest to bring fresh produce into her school, too.  Check out Kabreeya's Salad Days on HBO or at http://theweightofthenation.hbo.com/watch/kids-films/kebreeyas-salad-days.

2013 End Of Grade (EOG) test scores will not be available until October of next year, according to the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.  See the attached letter from Principal Smith explaining this delay.

Grants and Awards

Dillard Academy is a 2011-2012 recipient of a School Improvement Grant (SIG) for a total of $2,153,882.25 over a 3-year period. Grant funds will be used to 1. Reduce Class Size; 2. Provide Pre-School Readiness; 3. Enhance the Use of Technology; and 4. Provide Embedded Staff Development.


Wellness Initiatives


The Dillard Academy Wellness Fair on October 29, 2012 was a huge succes.  Thanks to all the parents, community supporters and students who participated.  Together, WE CAN!!
